Greetings

I've been asked to be a personal manager for a artist, I have no legal education nor am I licensed. I'm just an individual with the energy to help an up and coming artist to get out into the entertainment industry. I located an personal management agreement on the web that I have twicked to relate to our agreement, but it states the listed code within another state we don't reside, so would every state within United States have it's own codes a persons should be able to locate on the states website such as before engagement in an personal managment agreement for the entertainment industry:
1. Labor Code of the State of " "
2. Business and Professions Code of the State of " "
3. General Business Law of the State of " "

Is it safe to just change it to say the state we reside?

Thanks, any advice is greatly appreciated.
