No, I'm not a math major. All I said was that the cop claimed I was going at the speeds mentioned, that doesn't automatically make it true. There is no reason why they should bend the rules any more than I should. Basically, anyone who get's a city job starts to think they can do whatever they want (wether it's a bus driver who hit's a cyclist and get's away with murder because "he didn't see", USPS workers who sit behind bulletproof windows and behave like total *******s, or construction workers who create 99% of the traffic in NYC every single day so they get paid for their worthless time at my expense, etc...). So yes, hypocrisy is exactly what it is! Where are they going that's so important? Trying to make it in time for happy hour in Applebees?
Thanks for your advice! Unfortunately, I already have no choice but to follow it about the speed limit. As for respect, I doubt i'll ever have any for them, since I'm not the one who gave them that authority in the first place and would take it away in a heartbeat.

Your attitude precludes me (and perhaps others) from wanting to help.

Well then, I'm sorry that my opinion is different from that of yours and everyone else's on here. I just don't understand what you get out of taking turn's posting the same thing over and over then liking each other's comments. Before I posted my question I tried doing a Google search and all my results brought me to this forum, it seemed the most appropriate for the given topic. I made my own post because all I saw in response to other people's posts about traffic tickets was comments such as: "You shouldn't be driving" "You're a danger to yourself and others", "You should have your license suspended", etc...
Took my chances, lol

Your whole attitude of well, the cops go faster than the speed limit so I should be able to, too is as ridiculous as it is stupid. Getting angry at the cops for doing their job is also ridiculous. Glad you aren't in my state. New York takes a dim view of drivers like you so expect many more tickets in your future before you finally smarten up. I'm guessing that'll be around the time you hit 25. Or when you wake up in the hospital somewhere after causing a major accident with your arrogance. Here's hoping it's a one car accident because nobody deserves to suffer for your recklessness but you.

Their job is running red lights, speeding, carrying guns/knives/tasers and bullying everyone, while also giving out tickets and/or arresting anyone else for doing any of those? Sounds like an awesome job! Where do I apply? I haven't gotten any tickets in the past two years, I guess I got smarter in a sense that I can spot a cop from 10 miles away. Wow, you sound like a great person hoping for someone you don't even know to get into an accident and end up in a hospital... Good thing you could only hope.

Seems to me that if you got hit with a DRA then you're already convicted. So what's the deal with that? Exactly what are your lawyers doing for you?

What courts are these supposedly pending charges in?

Yeah, as I said the first attorney failed. Therefore I threw out 390$ that I paid him and still paid the ticket for 210$ or whatever it was. Now I got this responsibility assessment for the first one and am wondering if I should just pay it all in one shot so that hopefully if my next ticket comes back guilty it would start to count from 6 points all over, instead of adding more to these? Also, I was told that since it has been way over 18 months my points are gone, just got to pay the DRA and forget about it.

Since I didn't yet pay any of the attorneys for the cell phone/bike rack ticket I was thinking that I should probably just go to court myself since they seem useless with their success rate. I was just asking for advice here on what I should say since I've obviously never been in court before for any reason.
Thanks!

I know how you feel and the BS your going through!

Ya I remember how people didn't understand and I was getting tickets by corrupt cops. you would think they didn't have better thing to do than harass Me for going a little over the speed limit or turn on the red when I had to be someplace important. what is wrong with every body!!!
Yes I remember those time well and paid for them as you are doing, once I grew up and finally under stood the world didn't rotate around me and that the laws are what keeps us all safe, Guess What? I stopped Getting tickets, didn't have to worry if a cop was behind, beside in front or hiding in a bush. Now My advice for you would be to pay off what Fines you have, do not let them linger or go delinquent, do not pay them over time. Now take the Bus for a couple weeks, then pay for a cab for a couple weeks hopefully after that you will realize that there are worse out there than driving responsibly. And when they do pull your license you'll already know how to get from here to there.
Grow up, stop whining, you are the Master of your own universe, you are just making bad decisions, and start thinking about how much it will cost if you get stopped before you do something like speed because you late for school.

Ehh, the beginning of your comment actually sounded kind of promising... Then I finished reading it and realized that it's no different from the rest.
It's fine If you believe that laws are what keep's us safe. However, I don't agree with that at all! In fact, I believe that laws are the main cause of chaos. Why do you think so many people get killed in those shootings they talk about on the news? The reason is because they were trying to follow the laws! Now if some crazy XX pulled out a gun and everyone else was armed do you think they would have all got killed or at least someone smart would have pulled out the gun before him and blew his brains out, preventing 10s or even 100s of unarmed/innocent people from dying? Instead, call the police and wait for them to show up. Why? Because that's the "law"! Should a law really have to cost someones life? By the time they decide that it is important enough for them to be there, everyone will already be dead. Another example was when I was doing a training ride in NJ with my cycling team, we were going up a hill. Suddenly a cop popped out behind us with the sirens and scared one of the cyclists. Since we were all following each other he fell and everyone behind him proceeded to fall, 3 people got taken away in the ambulance... Why? Because apparently NJ has some law about riding single file and he felt the urge to remind us about it... Same goes for all emergency vehicles on the road, they create so much anxiety every time they want to pass, everyone starts trying to move aside when there is already no space and it ends with an accident. Sorry! I see more harm than good here.

I hope you grow up before your selfish and ignorant driving kills someone.

Notice how all my responses are valid arguments and all yours are just name calling without anything to back it up?

Do you have a mental illness?

None that I know of... Why would you think I have a "mental illness"?
This just validates my point from the previous comment.

You seem to have a strong feeling of persecution. You posted on this site to get advice. You were given advice. Talk to your lawyer. :)
