    I guess I should revise my question..if criminal charges can be charged shouldn’t somebody else be calling? These people refused to give me information except that if I don’t pay that my “case” will be turned over to the county. I contacted the courthouse and they didn’t have any information...

    No checks were bounced..they attempted to take out an ach payment but I had my bank stop it. The lender sold the debt to a collection agency

    Yes I read that as well about landing in jail. So I called the payday loan company and got the collection agency that took over the debt and it was not the people who were calling me. The people who were calling me had my vin number on my car and multiple other things
