collecting a judgement on a civil case

PA. We recently won a judgement in a civil case. The opposing party had 10 days to file an appeal and 30 days to pay the judgement if an appeal wasn't filed. We haven't been contacted concerning an appeal so we assume (and hope) that the defendant isn't going to appeal. The judgement due date...

    certificate of trial readiness

The reason I'm in a lawsuit to begin with is because I was too trusting...the more involved I get, the less trusting I become. thanks for all the advice.

    certificate of trial readiness

Considering it's been almost three years since the beginning of the lawsuit, I'm starting to lose patience and confidence in the legal process. It seems to me that there shouldn't be any surprises pop up now, but I also wonder how clear peoples memories are expected to be 3 years after the fact...

    certificate of trial readiness

Actually...the letter stated that it would be filed in 15 days. I just wondered why we had to notify the opposing lawyer before filing the actual paperwork with the court. We've had a history of the opposing lawyer filing paperwork to stall the court date.

    certificate of trial readiness

I haven't asked him yet. The last time that I spoke to him, he told me that he was going to file the certificate with the court and then I got a cc letter that was sent to the opposing lawyer in the case.

What is the name of your state? PA. Sorry for repeating myself - I did post this on another forum, but had no answers, so I thought I'd try here. I have an ongoing lawsuit that seems to be dragging on forever. Is my lawyer obligated to notify the opposing lawyer in the suit of his intention to...

    date overdue

patience. Believe it or not...we've been patient waiting for the machine to be finished. I realize that life doesn't always go as planned and things happen. After this long though, we'd like to see a happy ending for all involved. The letter seems like a good start - hopefully it'll help.

    date overdue

thanks Thanks for the reply. I don't want to seem impatient, but I have a lot of money invested in a machine that isn't bringing me any income. The letter seems like very good advice. I'd rather have the working machine than take any legal action anyway.

    date overdue

What is the name of your state? PA I signed a contract with a company that builds prototyes, for a machine to be built. The completion date on the contract was over 5 months ago and I still haven't received the machine. I believe that the company is trying to build the machine, but I...

whatever! thanks for the quick responses. Once it leaves my shop...I don't care what they do with it! Applying it to the trunk doesn't seem to be such a good thing.

    sticky situation

What is the name of your state? PA Recently I sold a 60 lb. pail of honey to a customer that put the container in the trunk of his car and unfortunately the container somehow tipped over in the trunk sometime after he left our shop. My question is - am I liable for the damages to his car? I...
