    My car was stolen

They cannot legally sell your car without a title, and it takes months to get a mechanics lein title in NY State, so something else is going on here. If they are a registered repair shop, write down their station # ( must be posted outside of shop by law ). Contact the New York State...

    34,400 miles and falling apart

"As IS" means.............."As Is ! " You bought it without a warranty, and now want a warranty, it does not work that way. Sounds a little strange for a 10 year old vehicle to have only 35000 miles on it, would make me very suspicious.

    Misrepresentation of vehicle by Dealer

You can always sue, the question is, can you win and can you collect. I doubt if you have a chance without the vehicle being available for inspection. You could try getting affidavits as to the required repairs and their costs, but I think your chances are slim of winning and even if you won...

    Dealership misinformed me!

Most cars have been in accidents, it is a matter of "how bad" and does it make the vehicle unsafe to drive or substantially impair the value of the vehicle. Just the fact that it has been in an accident means little. If if was improperly repaired or is unsafe, then you have a case.

    was sold a junk vehicle

Don't feel bad, you can't get a decent lawn mower for the price you paid.

changed mind for used car sale

    NY odometer rollback

If you want the case resolved, simply take all of your paperwork and documents to the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles. If there has been odometer fraud they will resolve it. The DMV issues and controls a dealers license in NY and carries more clout than any other agency. If you signed an...

What recourse to frame damage discovered??

Frame Damage Shelby....While it is true that frame damage must be disclosed at a dealer auction, that is an industry standard, not a law. Specifically frame damage does not have to be disclosed to a consumer unless it creates an unsafe condition or impairs the value of the vehicle ( a very...

Used car dealer's obligation to disclose

As Is "As Is" means ............."As Is " "As Is" means that there is no warranty and you are buying it just the way it is with all faults and defects. Some states do not allow "as is" sales ( New York for one ) unless a vehicle is over 100,000 miles or sold for under $1500.
