Benefit to union employees at a wage cost & non-represented employees at no cost
My city employer in Wisconsin is offering a dental plan to all "eligible" employees starting in 2016. There are 3 city departments that are still represented by a union and they are only offering the dental plan to the union workers if they forfeit an already negotiated wage increase.
