we did not do our own divorce.....we both had attorneys. our divorce has been final for over 7 years. retirement plans or benefits were not even mentioned at any time. it doesn't surprise me that i would have to take him to court to get simple insurance info.........i had to take him to court...

i am not a lawyer. just a mother. and if i had a choice, i wouldn't let my children visit anyone in jail. jail is not a place for children to have an outing. i would try to limit contact to phone calls and letters. he is being selfish to ask such a thing of his minor children.

i live in indiana and filed my own divorce. the library helped me get the papers i needed, and after filling them out, i filed them at the courthouse for a fee. the courthouse then set a date and notified me.
