    False arrest?

The defendant didn't really have anything to say. The judge understood what was going on and sent a message to this merchant. I was scared that the judge was going to support his local business owner but instead supported the local and nonlocal people who use this business.

    False arrest?

The officer didn't believe that the store owner wouldn't fix the tape deck. I couldn't produce a paid receipt for the repair of the deck as it was in the shop, but not repaired yet. I was just told what the cost would be after a preliminary look at the deck.

    False arrest?

In the end, the part that need replacing, and was replaced, caused stress on a motor that eventually died. I replaced the motor at a cost of $440. The technician who normally works on very high level reel to reel take decks, mentioned that the heads on the deck were not so good. I asked the...

    False arrest?

Yes, my claiming that the police would not have followed through with the theft charges if the store owner told the entire truth is speculation on my part. I hope that the small claims judge agrees with me. Yes, I was arrested. The DA agreed to dismiss the charges if I paid the $750 to the...

    False arrest?

Yes, the store owner didn't lie to the police officer taking the complaint. However left out an important detail--he didn't say that he refused to repair the tape deck. My question is if one leaves out information that would have made the police not to submit a complaint to the DA's office (I...

    False arrest?

That is my question--if one leaves out information that would have made the police not to submit a complaint to the DA's office (I think that is how it goes) is that filing a false police report??

    False arrest?

I wanted to know if the store owner was guilty of filing a false police report by not informing the police officer who was taking the complaint that he refused to repair the tape deck.

    False arrest?

Surprisingly the judgment was for a little over $1800 (plus court costs). I too don't get it.

    False arrest?

That is an excellent question! The district attorney was only willing to drop the charges if I paid back the store owner the $750. I agreed and the charges were dropped/dismissed(??)

    False arrest?

What is the name of your state? NY (but the purchase was done in PA) I purchased a reel to reel tape deck from a shop in Manheim, PA. The owner, after trying to repair a problem with the deck twice, refused to communicate with me when I tried calling to inform him that the deck is still not...

    Arrest Warrant for Chargeback

I went to small claims court last week on Monday and received the judgement in yesterday's mail. By the size of the judgment all I can say was that the judge was not happy with the defendant. The only issue I had at court was that the judge would only hear the 'case' regarding the issue with the...

    Arrest Warrant for Chargeback

I of course removed all my information from my documents and really would like to post them. How can this be done? Here is some more information that I claim is true. The judge said that there would be $1000 bail if I didn't go to the police station to get fingerprinted
