  1. R

    Verbal agreement between two parties.

Minors cannot back out of contracts involving necessity of life items. A vehicle to get to work to make money to afford other necessities of life, is considered a necessity of life in the great state of Michigan.

Where did you get your law degree? A cracker jack box? You obviously have no idea what the hell you're talking about. If a minor owns real property, they are bound by the same contractual obligations as an adult. A vehicle has value. Therefore it's sale, by a minor or not, is bound by the law.

That's my point, based on our verbal agreement, I am the owner of the vehicle.

The form says: warning, this form does not change the contractual liabilities with respect to the sale of a motor vehicle to a minor. .... the minor in this case is SELLING the vehicle, not purchasing. The vehicle is already titled in her name. She is the sole owner.

    Verbal agreement between two parties.

I'm not trying to sue anyone for anything. I'm trying to get my truck back.

So she can purchase, own, and register a vehicle, as a minor but she doesn't have to adhere to any kind of contract associated with the sale of the vehicle is what you're telling me?

    Verbal agreement between two parties.

I have not made a payment yet. I did however spend roughly $175 to get the vehicle running after I took possession.

    Verbal agreement between two parties.

I was in possession of the vehicle. And I do have text messages acknowledging the agreement. The vehicle is titled in the minors name. Does this not hold her responsible for any contracts or agreements associated with the sale of the vehicle, regardless of her age?

    Verbal agreement between two parties.

What is the name of your state? Michigan. I recently entered into a verbal agreement with a young woman to purchase a vehicle from her. She is 17 and living with a non-parent, non-gaurdian. Basically she is living with her friends mother, whom I have known for 30 years. This is how I came to...
