    From OPT in waiting list for H1 to J1

    What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Virginia I am currently an OPT with a pending application for H1. What happens if I want to go back to J1 for a postdoc? Will I need to go back to my country to obtain a J1? Also, what is the usual timing to obtain a J1? Thank you!
