    Let me get this straight

    Debt? Or just suffer the loss? So if the stocks you own suddenly lose value (the stock price falls significantly), you actually go into debt? I can see that you will lose money on the stock purchase if you sell them at the lower price, but how do you actually go into debt from this position?
