I worked for 6 weeks at a local Tax preparation business in January and February. I was hired by the CEO of the company and she agreed to pay me $12/hr bi-weekly. Since I worked alone at a satellite location I kept track of my own hours and emailed them to my boss.
I started...
You're still leaving out a lot of important details. What part of your car was hit, and what part of the other car hit you. What was the other car doing, going straight, making a turn? Also, what were you doing when you got hit, driving through the intersection or just sitting still?
I don't think you want to argue they were trying to beat a yellow light. If they were that would mean you had a red light and should have been declerating or stopped anyway, which could've prevented the accident. Now if you had a green light and they just ran their red light, then of course it...

It's not most well-written pair of sentences, but she does make it clear that she didn't have a phone and that was part of the reason she went home.
Way to misconstrue what I said, rmet4nzkx. I said:
As a driver you keep an eye on the traffic lights because you know they don't stay the same. Likewise, one should keep an eye on a cop directing traffic so as to know when the signal has changed, and thus take the appropriate actions. I...
That's what makes this case extraordinary. When driving through an intersection with working signals, if you're looking at the signals, you pretty much have no choice but to look at the car directly in front of you. In my case, the signal was to the left. And it's not like I was just staring...
And you guys wonder why I'm so quick to disregard your opinions. This inanity belongs on Fark, not FreeAdvice. But, what else should I expect from failed/wannabe lawyers?
Teflon, if you had thouroughly read what the young lady said, you would've known that she had no cell phone on her, which is why she called from home. Details, my friend, pay attention to them. It'll work wonders for your advisory skills.
Wow. You guys went from being dickish to straight vile. I think I struck a nerve with this one:
After I wrote that I just knew that people like rmet4nzkx, Lynx 36, and JETX would start listing a whole bunch of credentials (be they real or not). Instead, they've just spewed a whole lot of...
As I said in the original post, this was a six-lane highway. We were in the left lane. If something ran in front of her from the left, I would've seen it before it even got in front of her, as I was looking leftward (which is where the officer was). Nothing could come from the right, as traffic...
I repeat: Cops were directing traffic and were clearly telling us (the cars heading North and South) to proceed. Traffic was flowing smoothly. However, for some reason, the woman in front of me decided that a Go signal was actually a Stop signal, so she did the prudent thing  and...
I don't know. Sounds like you probably should have waited a little longer before you left. Of course, I think the other drivers owes some explanation of why he left in the first place. Normally, both cars just pull to the side of the road. Going forward and then making a u-turn sounds pretty...
