Ah, another case of when emotions rule...
If the dentist files on the father's insurance and insurance sends the payment to the father it seems only logical that the dentist's billing is being paid by the father's insurance which makes the "not in the network" claim a bunch of baloney.

More likely than not, the physician spoke with your sister and explained that your mother's condition was leading towards death and explained that your mother had no chance of recovery.
As panzertanker stated, the fact that your mother died within 24 hours indicates her death was...
Physical therapist should know about high topped tennis shoes and so should physicians; every nurse knows. Arch support isn't going to keep your ankle in place; think about it.

I sincerely doubt that anything went wrong in the OR and I sincerely doubt you signed a consent to have surgery without having had the risk explained to you or without reading the consent which states that by signing you agree that you have received an explanation of the risks. Your signature...
So, what did you think the risks of paralysis meant?
You seem to be an intelligent person so you obviously knew and understood the risks of the surgery and made the decision to take those risks in hopes that your hip would stop hurting.
Now that you find yourself in the 2% of patients who...
You signed a consent for surgery and in doing so, you attested to having received information about the risks of the surgery and consenting to the surgery with understanding of the risks.
For there to be malpractice, the surgeon must have performed negligently and caused you to suffer damages...
There is no negligence and no one is going to provide any prenatal care at this stage of pregnancy. The first appointment after confirmation of pregnancy is usually at the end or near the end of the third month.
A high risk pregnancy is a pregnancy with a viable fetus or a fetus very close...

Your responses had zero to do with answering the question about the statute of limitations. If we provide anything but a copy of a reference about a statute of limitations, as in stating the statute of limitation that applies is two years, we have practiced law without a license.

My only advice is to consult with a medmal attorney in your area. Depending on the jury's and/or court's trend on holding the patient responsible for seeking alternate medical care, you may or may not find an attorney willing to so much as investigate your claim.
Best wishes,

Whether or not the original poster was or is incarcerated has nothing to do with the answer to California's statutes of limitations or with whether or not a viable claim of medical malpractice exits, which it does not (unless the poster can pay the attorney's fees and costs and the defenses fees...

Looking up the statute of limitations is easy; just search the web for California medical malpractice statute of limitations--knowing which one applies to your claim requires presenting your information to an attorney in California and having the attorney tell you the statute of...
Part of the legal aspect of this is whether or not the surgeon knew or should have known that the patient had pancreatitis before removing the gallbladder. Usually, the patient with pancreatitis is given antibiotics until the pancreatitis resolves. I believe two weeks is the anticipated course...

Hey--there's nothing wrong with the moist method of healing a burn or cut or most any other open wound. If you are not covering the silvadene with a dressing, you should be. Slather on the silvadene; you'll have to hold it in place with a dressing or it will slide off and it can't help...
Without being privy to the guidance off the main forum, I may be repeating information but here goes...
Primary objective is to prevent infection during the healing process; therefore do not apply anything not sterile and without the ability to prevent the growth of bacteria.
