Should I send them another certified letter, rejecting their letter of validation and asking them to be more specific and provide a breakdown of every cent that they say I owe? I guess if I get taken to court, I want to have documentation of this debt, cent by cent.

Thanks for your help, Ladynred, but unfortunately my account was started in 1997 and I found payments that I've made back in 2000. Mastercard turned the account over to First Select and now it's in the hands of Vital Recovery Systems, Inc. out of GA.
