110/65 - yes there is a STRONG possibility of jail time for this ticket. As I've said elsewhere on this forum, it's a CRIMINAL charge known as a Class ONE Misdemeanor. 12 months jail, $2500 fine and 6 month suspension of license is the max for this. 81/55 is R/D in VA. Class ONE misdemeanor - CRIMINAL OFFENCE not a traffic ticket. If you can live with the consequences of a CRIMINAL RECORD, then go for it "pro se". Good luck.- maddoggieD

Let us know how it goes. You need to keep in mind that if convicted you'll now have a CRIMINAL record as a result. It's not a speeding ticket (but a CRIMINAL OFFENCE) in Virginia - Class 1 Misdemeanor.- maddoggieD

95/55 - Speeding? No way...it's RECKLESS in VA 95/55 - and you say he charged you ONLY with speeding? Are you serious? Check your ticket carefully, and you'll see a charge for RECKLESS DRIVING. See a lawyer ASAP as this CRIMINAL CHARGE has ramifications (like a CRIMINAL RECORD).- maddoggieD
