I am in the middle of a litigation for breach of contract which does not include atty's fees. As per my lawyer, "no way" I'm getting anything back. So here are my questions:

Is this true? Is there a way to recover the $10k (so far) spent on my case? Even after this case is over?

I am being told there is not and that mine is a "court annexed arbitration", no judge involved, is this also true? If it is as I understand, it is just arbitration. Why does it take so much to get there?

Why do I have to go through with a lawyer which is obviously interested in getting more of my money? What does it take to go per se? would it require a lot of time?

Which other options do I have if I start to feel my lawyer is not necessarily on my side? I mean, is there a regulatory agency (the state bar?) which could keep these people in line.

Are there any lawyers with a sense of humanity? (rhetorical question, no need to answer)...

Any help, support, I would appreciate. Rgds,

OregonWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

THanks for replies

Hey Sandi!
I noticed you were kind enough to seriously answered before and now to my post. I am frustrated and may have repeated some but not all the questions are the same. Can you answer as much as you can? I know you're in SouthernCal and my case is in Oregon, so I am not sure how much you know about laws over there, but I would appreciate your help again.

Rgds,
CM

As far as LeeHarvey's replay goes...Thanks for your sarcasm. You don't need to run anywere through fire plus I am not sure about my "FIRST" quoted sentence. I believe you referred to the Last one which in fact....it is not quoted. ha,ha,ha!!
