I am married to a resident alien, have been for ten years. Even though we have two children the marriage has been dead for years. I want out but would need to rely on child support. I believe he really wants out too but is afraid of his immigration status. I know he would go back to his native country but would continue working here, which is what he did before we married and he worked here only on a Visa. Would it matter to his 10 year review if we divorced and also if he wanted to continue working in this country wouldn't he have to make sure he was paying child support. He makes very good money, but I know his attitude about his ex-wife and now grown children in his home country and if he could get away with not paying he would.
