I worked for a motel and lived on site while working there for 16 months. I was only paid $100 per week. I worked 12 hour shifts and I was not allowed breaks. I worked 6 days a week. Can I seek back pay?

Depends.

What state? You ignored that question. It's important.

And don't ignore these:

Were you given free lodging?

Were you given free food?

Were you given anything else for free while you were working there?

How many days a week did you actually work those 12 hour shifts?

What was the daily rate for a room that was charged to customers?

You will have to factor in the value of all of that to determine if you were paid minimum wage and overtime.

I suspect that if OP was only paid $100 for working 72-hour weeks, even including all the other factors (lodging and food etc.), he/she was underpaid. In any state. And in Canada.

I am in Arizona. Yes it was in the past. June 2015-October 2016. The renters paid $275 per week for the free room I was given. I was not given food. I worked 72 hours per week, 12 hours per day, 6 days a week. I was only paid $100 per week.

Yeah, you were WAY under paid.

Im not even sure how to go about doing anything about it. Any ideas would be great!

You want to contact your state Department of Labor and make a complaint.

However, when you do so, you will have to include the 275.00 per week that you got in housing as part of your pay.

So, you actually received 375.00 a week for 72 hours of work. So, you received an average of $5.21 per hour and did not get time and a half for the 32 hours of overtime you received each week. It looks to me like they owe quite a bit per week that you worked.
