Our 15 year old Daughter was talked into running away with a 21 year old man to be married, We are attemping to locate them but to date have had no luck in finding them, however it has been reported that she is pregnant, the boy has been charged with felony statutory rape, transporting a minor accross state lines and several other crimes and has several warrents for his arrest issued.
If she is pregnant can we prevent him and his parents from having any contact with the child, if she is indeed pregnant if we was to adopt the child, or do they still have that right and there's nothing We can do.
We live in the state of Missouri

I believe that the only way that you can deny the rights of the father (even in this case) is for him to relinquish his rights to the child. Then, your daughter could grant you the right (or temporary custody) for the child.

Most, if not all, states do not tread lightly on a fathers responsibility (and rights) to a child.

I strongly suggest that, when your daughter is found and returned, you prosecute the ******* to the full extent allowed and, try very hard to mend your fences with your daughter.

It sounds like you have had a very rough time, and regretfully, it is not over yet. Best of luck to you, and please let us know how this winds up.
