2 days after 341, case is awaiting discharge, YEA!!!!!

2 days after 341 meeting

What is the name of your state? Oregon
Just had to share this. I had my 341 meeting on 10/17/05 and today pacer states that the trustee found no assets and my case is awaiting discharge. So, I guess everything's okay unless the US trustee interferes.

The US trustee had asked for 6 month's of financial records, which my attorney sent approx. 1 week before my 341 meeting.

Do you think we would have heard from the US trustee if there was a problem yet?

My attorney said the US trustee's had started doing this alot the closer it got to Oct. and that he didn't see anything in my financial docs to cause any problems.

Should I be worried?

There is no need to worry unless your paperwork waas grossly out of hand or if you had a lot of questionable activity just prior to filing...

Generally if you make it through the 341 meeting with no problems, you are good until the discharge goes through...

Remember to keep the discharge notice in a safe place as you will most likely need it in the future as proof that you filed BK... NEVER send the discharge letter to the CRA's, as they will use it against you and it will be difficult to get the BK off your credit score before 7 years... I have heard success stories of getting a BK off credit scores 4 years after discharge....
