I know that support and custody are agreed on at seperate times.
I'll try to make this short...
Son was concieved and born in Georgia. Parents were not married and later split up. Mother left Georgia without notification when son was almost a year and drove across country with him to California. We just found out where they were last year and since have been in constant contact.
Dad now lives in Texas because he is in the military.
Support is taken out of pay every month.
1. Mom lives in 1 bedroom with her 3 kids (illegal in CA?).
2. Dad has had $400 extra taken out last 2 pay periods by the court without notification. Can they do that?
3. Living situation has changed trmendously for the son and we feel it would be better for him to live here with us. How do we go about that? How do we even get visitation when we are in one state and he is in another??
4. Should we go to court to have the amount of support changed since we have a baby of our own and husband makes less money and i make none?
5. IS there any way of doing any of this without a lawyer or a less expensive way of doing this?
Thank you, Chantal
