20K H-1B Job Loss?

Hi all,
I am in the same boat with all, who are waiting for 20K H-1s. My OPT expires on April 18th. Is there any way I can continue on my job (job finishes in May end) till May end. Can I ask my employer to pay me in cash or personal check, for the duration till I get my H-1? By this no records would go to INS at all.

2. Does any one know abt any schools where they allow international students to apply for CPT in the first semester, the student joins?

No, you have no valid work authorization beyond the expiration of your OPT and the employer cannot legally pay you beyond that date.
