Arizona you do not have to pay the fine for a DDS-dismissed violation. You only pay the fee for the driving school (which seems to run around $20. No fine, no points.

In AZ you pay a diversion fee and other fees plus the cost of the class, which ends up being equal to or more than the actual fine. The "law" gets its money either way you cut it.

In Pima County it's about $200 plus the cost of the school.

It's the dismissal that counts. One ticket on the record is less of an insurance surcharge than two tickets.

Yep, got my hopes up to only find out it's about $235 after all the fees they tack on with the "classes as low as $19.99" advertisement.
