have had grandson since 5 weeks old now 41/2 yrs old bio want back mother is mentally ill but her felionous ass charges dropped.. need help on 3rd party costody! Want to keep him what are chances. IN Michigan Northern part in MI parents want him back Do we have a chance if fight in court?

where have these people been for 4 1/2 years? did you ever file for guardianship or establish legal custody? do they have a relationship with the child? today many grandparents retain custody of grandchildren.

If you can prove both parents unfit, then you can file and will probable obtain legal custody. You should seek a Family Law Attorney immediately.
