is there a law that requires 8 hours between shifts? if so where can i find this law in print? if it can be found on the net, i would prefer. thanks

In what industry? There are Federal labor laws (minimum wage, etc.) STATE laws (and each state's is different), and saftey requirements. Also many unions have contracts that specify that. I think you mean for overtime purposes.

I hope there is'nt alaw about this...but if there is my employer will be in BIG trouble!!! i don't think there is a law, but my employer USED to pay time and a half if we returned within 8 hours to work, they dont pay it anymore, in Connecticut, they are not required to.
