I went to an endocrinologist who tried to do a genital exam on me. When I told him I was not willing to expose myself, he said he would not treat me unless I did so.

Note: My condition can easily be assessed by blood work. Genital inspection is NOT neccessry to recieve treatment. I have seen other endos who did not try and force invasive inspection upon me. Not only is blood work sufficient enough, but it will tell the provider far more than genital exams ever could. I also have a witness to this conversation.

Do I have grounds to sue?

Anyone can sue anyone. You have no case, no damages, you couldn't find a lawyer to rep you and your case would likely not make it through the first hearing.

I do have damages, emotional damages. Had I not been smart enough to say no, this physician would have taken advantage of me. I'm pretty confident that you can't force someone to expose your genitals to them. That's it's own form of sexual assault. He was trying to use his power to manipulate me and use the threat of not receiving medication I needed as a form of bribery.

There are medical reasons an endocrinologist would need to examine genitals. Not providing a prescription without the needed examination is called being a good doctor.

You need some help...really. Not legal help.

Prove you have emotional damages. You were so distraught you immediately went to get psychiatric help correct? You have incurred costs for said treatment. In fact you were put on medicine to deal with the emotional trauma. Right? And the psychiatrist says it is due to this incident.

I'm aware of the reasons. I have had this condition for a long time. I've been treated for this condition a decade before this man ever met me. As I said before, there's nothing he couldn't learn from blood work that he assumes he'd find in my pants.

The medication in which I needed does not recruited genital examination. It does not pertain to my genitals. It's not like I said I had herpes and asked for herpes medication then refused examination.

I have had another dr tell me that it is uneccisary before. I have had another dr separate from the first respect my wishes when I said no. That proves it is not apart of the process.

That being said, it's called being a damn creep!

You don't have to be affected by something to the point of medication to be affected at all. There's people who have been raped and don't seek therapy or medication, are you to insinuate those people weren't affected?

I had a strange man trying to force me into showing him my genitalia and possibly touching it, anyone in their right mind should be able to see this is an upsetting, and completely inappropriate situation when the exam was NEVER necessary in the first place!

I hope this happens to you then :)

Glad you are ok with people in the medical field using their power to look at and touch people's genitalia without proper reason.

Soooo....When did you report this to the Medical Licensing Board? When did you go to a PhD for help after this emotionally horror appt?

You are out of line. My answer was to the fact that you want to sue and get money. You need to prove the emotional trauma. So therefore, you weren't traumatized enough to get money in a lawsuit. That is the point. But continue being a jerk.

People don't have to do that Blue in order to sue and get money. It is enough to SAY he was traumatized and get millions!

Hope what happens? The first thing my doctor told me when she examined me for an injured shoulder was "Mr. Zigner, you can put your pants back on."
