I couldn't find an appropriate place to post this but possibly someone can help. Is there anyplace on the internet I can type in a persons name and find out if they are a licensed attorney anywhere in this country? Thanks

It would be easier to find the State that this person is practicing in then check with the State or the State ABA Chapter.

See that's the problem. This guy is out of state. We've been doing business with him when he threw out "He is also an attorney." He lived in Kansas but when I checked their records (ABA) they had no listing. He's starting to get somewhat vague and has lied a couple times now. I'm wondering if there is a way I can just do a wide search so as not to spook him and lose what money we have invested already. Is there a way to do this?

Contact the ABA main office and ask for the membership department. Then give them the name and ask if he is a member and if so in what State.
