What is the name of your state? Arizona

....at least I think it is unique.
We have a child support order in place, it is probably 7 or 8 years old. However, for the last 4 years or so I have not collected any child support from my exhusband. We just kind of came to an agreement that we both made enough to support the kids on our own and that I would not ask for child support...he would pay me half my cost to cover medical insurance and half the cost of any uncovered medical expenses (but...he has not paid 1/2 my cost to cover the medical for at least 2 years). We split visitation 50/50 and share joint custody. My question: I am about to leave my job to be a stay at home mom to a new baby (from second marriage, as well as my older kids from my first marriage. Since I wont have an income...but am voluntarily leaving my job I assume I will be attributed an income by the courtto determine what child support should be. If my current income will be used, it could bear out that I make more money than my former husband, and in "real-life" I would likely have to pay him child support....so, I am wondering if I will even be able to collect child support from him in this case. Any body have an answer to this puzzler?

Its an issue that I certainly wouldn't raise, at all, at this point. You are voluntarily becoming unemployed, and if the court imputes your former income to you, you could end up paying him child support while you are unemployed. You really don't want that to happen, do you?

However, its only right that you insist that he pay his share of the children's medical expenses.
