My question is if a member of the military who abandons his wife and small child and also deserts the military, and has been gone for a few years if that person turned there slef in on both accounts to the military and for the abandoment charges filled by his wife, what would likely happen to him?

The military will first have him court martialed for going AWOL. The wife can divorce him on the grounds of abandonment, and petition for, and most likely receive spousal support and child support.

What if He has be court marticaled and his wife has already divorced him, he has just never showed up to any of the hearings and left the state? Would he serve Jail time for the abandoment charges if he turns hisself in now?

I have honestly never heard of anyone being "jailed" for abandoning their spouses or children, unless they have refused to pay back and current spousal and/or child support. I'm sure IAAL or Legal Beagle will let me know on that score.

has never payed any support, doesn't even know if it was ordered or the amount, which im sure it was. Left the state and has never returned for 2 to 3 years, never faced any of the charges with the military or for his ex-wife. he does know that abandoment charges where filled, but that is it, didnt stick around to face it. Then what?
Thanks
