What is the name of your state? Texas

We tried to refinance with AmeraQuest for a better interest rate. We were approvied but the abstract office would not give them the needed information. They told the financial officer that they could get it refinance locally and couldnt give them the needed information because it would hurt the town to give business away?

Cant I choose who I want to refinance? Can the abstract office withhold info?

Thanks for any help.

If you paid for the abstract, it's yours and they should turn it over.

If some local title company paid for it, or if it's not paid for at all yet, well maybe they're not interested in new clientele. Tough luck.
