What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NJ

The CSE probation division has sent me papers asking if I agree for the child to be emancipated. I do not agree since although the child is 18, he still has 1 year of high school to complete.

I was wondering if a printout of the online grade report would be considerded sufficient documentation that the child should not be emancipated. They say that a grade report is acceptable but I don't know if they need a certified copy- like a transcript from the school- or if the online report is OK.

Anyone know?

Seriously?

I put him into a transitional 1st program (a year of school between K and 1st) because he was too immature to succeed in 1st grade at that point. He had just turned 5yo when he started K and we later found out he was ADD.

Does it matter why? I know that it is not uncommon these days to start K until the child is 6y so I imagine a lot of those kids will be 18yo when they graduate HS, too.

again edited to include that the child will be 18 when completing HS but he will also be 18 for his entire senior year.

A transcript from the school will be the best documentation that you can produce.
