I just got my first ticket today. In addition to the speeding ticket, I also got one for not wearing my seatbelt properly. When I pulled over and parked on the side of the road, I reached over the seatbelt and used both hands to get all my information from the glove box. So when the officer came over, it appeared that I hadn't been wearing it correctly (with my left arm being over the belt). I was extremely nervous because it was my first ticket and when the officer questioned me on it, I wasn't sure why it was like that as I always wore my seatbelt correctly and didnt think anything about telling her honestly when she asked that "I wasn't sure." as I didnt know this was ticketable. I don't feel as though I deserve this ticket as I literally ALWAYS wear my seatbelt correctly and was just too nervous to remember that I had brought my arm over to get my information from the glove box. Am I able to argue this in court?
