This is the kind of research that people pay $200-300 per hour to get done

It's ok that none of the condescending individuals replying to this post want to help. Today I was contacted by a very nice person on another board who helped me with the information I required.

It's good to know that not everyone is so obsessed with money and being patronising. It may not have entered your minds but some people do like helping other people without financial reward. As an example I run a site dedicated to programming and have spent a great deal of time writing tutorials and answering peoples questions without any financial reward.

I hope next time you are really stuck with something someone treats you in the same patronising way.

Regards
Helen

I am a citizen from the UK who has a very limited knowledge of American law. I am currently involved in a comparative exercise with regards to disability rights in the UK and US and am looking for some help in finding American case examples that meets the following.

It is my understanding that one of the ways the ADA amendments act 2008 changed the law was by expanding the list of major life activities to include concentrating and thinking and introducing the category of "major bodily functions" In respect of this I am looking for the following:

1) an example of a case that failed under the original ADA on the grounds that concentrating or thinking were not covered
2) An example of a case under the ADA amendments act 2008 that was successful as concentrating or thinking were covered.

Many thanks
Helen

Sorry Helen - you'll have to do your own homework.

Sorry Helen - you'll have to do your own homework.

How very patronising. I am 47 years of age and not involved with "homework". I work for a charity in the UK and am involved with a comparative review of laws / cases in different countries of the world. If you can't help please just say so instead of being so patronising.

Ooooooooooooh. I know who you are! You're the oddball who made those Youtube vids and thought she could take legal action after being banned from several forums, aren't you?

Why yes. Yes, you are.

Yes, Helen, we're quite aware that it's okay that we don't want to help you. Wherever did you get the idea that any of us thought we were required to help you, or felt badly about not doing so?

If you managed to sucker someone else into doing your work for you, well, that's been going on since before Tom Sawyer had a fence to whitewash. That's your sucker's problem, not ours. We're quite happy with our decision. Both here and on the other forum where I told you to take a hike.

And that's even assuming I believe you found someone else to do your research for you. Which you should not assume that I do.
