1. A pre-trial judgment was entered against D in 1999.
2. In 2002, P, creditor, filed an ex parte application to set aside default judgment. Default judgment was set aside.
3. Case dismissed without prejudice in 2003.
What is the likely scenario behind this?
From my previous post, was there, is there a bankruptcy? The disposition of the bankruptcy claim - shows of "vacated", on this civil case.
Does this mean that the defendant likely made a deal with the creditor? Or paid off the debt? What is the name of your state?
