adjustment of status

been here since 1989. married in october 1997. applied for adjustment of status july 1999. had a child with spouse september of 2000. still waiting for i-130 and I-485.
divorce is imminent. what are my chances for staying here legally with my son and continuing to work.
is filing the i-751 an option for me?
do I qualify for cancellation of removal?
any comments would be much appreciated.

You need to speak with a proper Immigration Attorney since you have not even had your first adjustment interview. To tricky a situation to answer on this board without all your papers.

I have contacted a lawyer and have processed all the paperwork through him, but the divorce part is a new development and causes major problems. can they actually put me in removal, although all indications are that the marriage was entered into in good faith, and we actually have a child now.
seems unbelievably ruthless..
is the I-751 an option?

according to various cyber lawyers, the processing times for the I-485 is presently four months for me.
they are apparently processing apps filed in march of this year.
what do I do once that comes thru?
I can request to expedite the i-130 form?
