adopted children inheritance rights

i am from mississippi and i want to know if a stepchild is adopted--does he or she have the same rights to land that was inherited after the adoption as the biological children.

Children that are adopted have all of the legal rights as biological children do. Once you adopt a child, it is as if they are your biological child in every way.
