I have a brother who will be turning 18 in July and who will be coming to live with me in December of this year. Can I file for adoption of my brother and if so what is required for this process? My mother and brother currently live in Argentina and he will be moving in with me to finish high school in the U.S. I am interested in filing for adoption so that I can put him on my medical insurance.
