I was born in New York.
When I was 2 I moved to West Virginia to live with my mother.
At age six, her second husband adopted me.
Then later, I moved to Pennsylvania.

I now live in Pennsylvania and my mother and her second husband are divorced. He's a dead-beat and a jerk and I have a wonderful relationship with my biological father.
I want to have the adoption revoked and my biological father back on my birth certificate.

My question is, do I have to file in the state where the adoption took place or can I file it in my home state?

You cannot have the adoption overturned.

What you need to do is have your biological father do an adult adoption.

You'll likely need an attorney for this. Assuming of course you are an adult.
