What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TX**************..I just found out that I may have a daughter that was born in 1980 or 1981. What happen is my ex girlfriend at that time was sent off to a school for young pregnant girls in Houston and she said that they let her hold the baby and then they took the baby away and came back and said the baby died**************.this is the info that she just told me about. Now she is saying that she got some papers in the mail asking about the family tree of the baby girl. My question is how can I find out if my daughter is living and maybe she was put up for adoption and they just told her that the baby died. It just seems to me that this whole story is wishy washy. That is the only info that she has giving me. How can I find out if the baby was adopted or if the baby had passed away after birth? Thanks....please help!!

Legally speaking, you do not have a daughter. I would suggest that you work with your ex-GF to contact the folks asking for the family history and see what you can find out.

That's just it she will not give me any more info.....except it was a girl and that they told her the baby died and then she gets a letter in the mail asking about family history for that baby girl. It just sounds to me a little wishy washy. Does anyone know of a website or should I contact an Atty?
