I was 16 gave child up for adoption (mother said it was best) The biological father is not the one who signed the adoption papers. A adult friend signed the adoption papers saying he was the father of the child.

Was this a legal adoption? It has been almost 18 years ago.

I feel that my child needs to know that the person who signed the papers is not in no shape or form blood related.

Thank you
