Residence is Texas. I have a brother with Downs Syndrone and he is 32 years old. Both parents are deceased and he lives with a sibling. I would like to find out what can be done have him interdicted or have a legal guardian appointed for him. He is not capable of communicating and making decisions regarding health or financial issues. If someone can recommend an attorney that specializes in Texas, preferably Houston, that deals with persons with disabilities I would appreciate it very much.

My response:

Call the Information Operator, and ask for the telephone number to the State Bar of Texas.

When you call them, ask them for an Attorney Referral. They will give you a referral to an attorney in your area. Call that attorney and repeat what you told us.
