I reside in Indiana and plan on starting a free adult internet site which would contain objectionable images not suitable for children. Since the site will be free, no credit card verification would be used. Will a standard "I agree that I am of age to view such material" disclaimer be suitable or will I need to consult an attorney? Any help users could provide would be most appreciated..thanks.

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

The Child Online Protection Act
It is an affirmative defense to prosecution under [the COPA] that the defendant, in good faith, has restricted access by minors to material that is harmful to minors--
(A) by requiring use of a credit card, debit account, adult access code, or adult personal identification number;
(B) by accepting a digital certificate that verifies age; or

(C) by any other reasonable measures that are feasible under available technology."
