What are the legalities in setting up a website where users (sellers) can display themselves and (buyers) can purchase from them. Ie: 5 Images from Seller Y for $X, however the website is not selling, Seller Y acts as their own micro business and the website is the platform for that.

The website would take a small commission per sale & not charge users to sell.

To become a seller they must submit legal documents as proof of age.

Do the sellers needs to sign a producers/model form? Can this be part of T&C in signup?

Regards,

B.

Is it best to ask my question elsewhere?

Thank you.

It is probably best for you to ask your questions of an attorney in your area who is familiar with U.S. laws on pornography.

You have in the U.S. both federal and state laws to consider. You must be careful to tailor your website to meet all of the regulations (and there are many) that govern pornography. You definitely do not want to risk running afoul of any of these laws.

Good luck.

I am going to be honest with you.

If you are in "the business", haven't had an 'apprenticeship', or know at least know how to do this legally, you will never be able to do this profitably.

How many pornographers do you know? How many content producers?
