Morning all...I am in Calif. and I have been in this forum before. I am waiting for my appt. on 1/4 to see my atty., in the meantime my spouses atty has told him that we need to separate our finances, namely checking and credit cards. I was under the impression (from others who have already gone through a divorce) that I do not need to do that yet and the only thing that we cannot do is secret monies and move them around into separate accts. He wants to take his directly deposited salary and put it into his own account now and then give me the monies to pay our bills until everything is final. Is this legal and can he do the above? His atty. is filing the actual divorce papers today. Please help.
