I was not given a promotion, and was told it was only because of my age, but i was told i couldn't claim age discrimination because i am not age 40 or over. I am 20 years old, and qualified, even more so than the person who recieved the job, but she is older. Do i have a case?

Whil eit sounds as you are not in a "protected class" under Federal law, many states have state laws that prohibit all age discrimination. Look at employment discrimination on FreeAdvice.com.
