What is the name of your state?FONT=Courier New]What is the name of your state? CALIFORNIA

My Grandmother just passed away and my brother is getting three days of aggrevance and is being payed 75% of his pay. When I went to work my boss told me that I could not get it because my grandmother is not my immediate family. I need to know if this is true and if not what am I entitled to???

I assume that what you are calling aggrievance pay, is what most of us call bereavement pay.

No law in any state requires any employer to provide any berevement pay regardless of the relationship of the employee to the deceased. It is entirely up to the company whether to provide any bereavement pay at all, and if so they may decide which family members they wish to approve it for.

So if your employer has decided that they will only provide bereavement pay to the nuclear family, but not for grandparents, then yes it is true and you are not entitled to anything.
