What is the name of your state? CA.

We had hired a man to do telemarketing two-months ago. He seems to have a serious drinking problem. He has come in at least three times "bombed". He has been sent home once for being unable to perform his duties. He is on probation for another 4 months (6 months total). What is the best way of terminating him, immediately?

Um, terminate him immediately. If you are concerned that he will get UI benefits, you can issue a warning first; you know, the "last chance" warning.

Hi Patty! Thanks for the reply! No, not worried about UI. Just want him out of here!! What do you advise, over let's say a one-week period as far as documenting & terminating? Thanks**************... Bruce.

He's on a probationary period , next time he comes in inebriated , tell him to go home and do not come back , he blew his probationary period .
