What is the name of your state?
FL

My divorce became final last March. We have no children and went through the "simplified" divorce process (we divided our property between ourselves with no lawyers involved.) However, at the time, I did NOT know my ex had - and still has - a substantial amount of money in a savings account and he makes considerably more money than I do. Can I legally sue him for alimony now?

Floridadivorce.com may have the answers you need on their site; it requires zipcode identification and therefore, I could not review their site for you.

If your divorce states that all matters are resolved, or settled, or that no issues remain, then the answer is 'no'; you can not go back and seek alimony. However, you should check out the above site just to be sure.

Even though you two did this on your own, if you had to file papers as to your assets and he did not list this, then you would have a good case in my opinion. If you did not file assets (personal or property), then I don't feel there is anything you can do.
