Its time per divorce agreement to renegotiate alimony. Kids are off to college and marital home is being sold and assets split.

Alimony is currently $2000 monthly
CS is currently $2000 monthly

Question: Divorce agreement states "in reference to renegotiating the alimony, the amount paid in monthly child support payments shall be considered"

What does this mean in terms of dollars and cents? $2000/mo? $3000/mo or $4000/mo?

Also, exwife turned down a job offer for $50,000/year 3 years ago to take a less than full-time position at $20,000-$25,000/year. Does that have any bearing?

thanks

you should pay less for alimony because the kids are off to college, which means no mandatory child support unless divorce decree states differently.

Also, up to you to tell court about the job she turned down.
