I am divorced (Washington St.) after 24 Yrs. of marrage. She got house, cars, half of 401-K, one third of my retirement plus about $70K at the time of the divorce (1998). I now pay a large alimony payment. My ex wife recently remarried to a family friend who works with me. His income is at least equal to mine. I want to get the alimony reduced/stopped as she does not need it. At this point she has made two changes to the original agreement in the area of insurance priemums that I was paying and that she no longer needed. I hope that these changes could allow me to re-open the divorce decree for modification of the alimony. Any chance??

Read your court order very carefully.. most orders for alimony stop either when one party dies, or the receiver gets married.
